It is true, my dear friends. Dancing is one of the short-cuts to happiness.
We move our bodies, and our energy starts to flow.
Physical energy, yes, and also emotional energy. Keep dancing.
Whatever we have held back, locked up, begins to move with us.
The first steps may not bring happiness at all. That’s okay. Keep dancing.
The feeling might be sadness, even deep sadness, and tears. Let them flow. Don’t be afraid.Keep dancing.
The feeling might be anger, even rage. That’s okay. You’re okay. Don’t be afraid of your anger, part of your life force. Keep dancing. See where the feeling goes.
Be curious. What does come next? Keep dancing.
“The essence of spirituality is about letting go of the stuff inside—because when you let it all go, what you have left is pure spirit.“ —Michael Singer, author of The Untethered Soul
This is not a one time dance, my love. This is life’s dance. With all the ebb and flow. You are living this life no matter what. Don’t be afraid. Find the happiness. Find your own connection with pure spirit. Keep dancing.
Amen.

So true, Dale! Wish you’d been at church one Sunday last year, after the shock of the Pulse shooting began to wear off a bit, we had a ‘keep on dancing’ singing and dancing time in the sanctuary at church. If you’re interested in seeing how crazy we got, check out the video which is most likely still on the church’s web site! It was a delightful, healing experience! Love to you and yours.

I wish I’d been there, too, Jean. And I’m glad that this post reminded you of a delightful, experience you had. It’s so good to revisit those times. Thanks for the love, and the same back to you and yours
Diane
love this!

Thank you, Mary Margaret. I guess I could have also said “Let it be a dance we do”, which then reminds me of you, of course.
