Four Quotes by Rumi

Photograph by Patty Hurd

February, often thought of as the month for love, seems like a good time for some Rumi quotes. You might give yourself the gift of each quote by taking the time to sink into it as you read, or giving the quote the space to sink into you. Then breathe deeply before going on to the next one.

So from me to you with love, here is Rumi:

— Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

— Why are you knocking at every door? Go, knock at the door of your own heart.

— Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field … I’ll meet you there.

— Shine like the whole universe is yours.

They are, aren’t they? Rumi is always a good reminder for me!
